this is the first song that scotch howard wrote, first song he and Mitra music recorded together, and the first track on the album. The lyrics for the tune came from a very organic place. I was sitting in the middle of the woods, my life was a complete mess, and i had never had faith in myself as a writer of anything, much less music. I felt like i was in a world of my own, and that my state of mind had transported me to a different planet. Maybe it was dmt? I wrote the lyrics on a piece of cardboard that i ripped off a box, while playing the box like it was a high hat, and a snare. I felt the out of mind experience it is to be grabbed my music for the first time as a musician. Weight was lifted. love came back, through opening myself to music. Thank neptune
